Education Programs

MOCA education programs are all free, artist-led, and designed to be culturally-responsive and inclusive of existing community endeavors and expertise. Our programs are offered for free both in K-12 classrooms and at the museum. They are a significant resource for students and adults who do not have access to arts education and provide vital work and teaching experience for working artists in Southern Arizona.

Arts education at MOCA uses the lens of contemporary art to create new pathways for imagination and critical thinking. We center the knowledge and creativity of educators and artists to benefit the many communities of learning these programs engage. Our ongoing education programs offer bilingual instruction and include: classroom-based K-12 arts education at Title 1 schools,  multilingual summer camp sessions, teen cohorts, intergenerational LGBTQIA+ centered arts workshops, and more.
