Poetic Prescriptions, Dialectical Discourse, and Intuitive Innervation

 

As a part of her exhibition we need to talk, artist Natalie Brewster Nguyen will hold a series of Office Hours within the installation, offering a range of poetic and dialectic services for visitors on a drop in basis on Saturday afternoons through May 9th, extending her examination of  communication, care, and meaningful conflict in the installation.

The artist will be available to deliver poetic prescriptions to particular problems, workshop conversations about hard topics that need to be addressed, reimagine and reenact conversations from the past, and commiserate around the elusive nature of communication.

As a somatic practitioner, Nguyen will also facilitate nervous system regulation for grounding grief and joy in the body. Expect to move and breathe together. 

Here, visitors may also respond to poetic prompts by inscribing their own balloons that they may choose to take home or contribute to the growing assembly of balloons within the exhibition.
