Learning Sundays

Learning Sundays

Sunday, February 1
12:00 - 2:00 PM

For this session, teaching artist Ling-Yu Chou will guide participants in traditional Chinese knotting and the creation of Spring Festival couplets (春聯). Together, we will explore how these practices carry wishes, values, and community memory across generations. Participants will leave with a handmade hanging ornament to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Learning Sundays is MOCA’s free, monthly, family-friendly arts learning program, held on the first Sunday of each month. Visitors are invited to explore MOCA’s exhibitions while enjoying hands-on artmaking on the plaza with multilingual teaching artists. Guests can move freely between art activities, exhibitions, free coffee, and board games in a welcoming, inclusive environment for all ages.
