Free Third Thursday

October 23, 2025
6:00 - 9:00 PM

Join us for an evening at MOCA with galleries open late, live music by KXCI Community Radio, food by Odd Dogs Hot Dogs, and drinks by Brick Box Brewery! Don’t miss this lively time to gather with friends and family around art, music, and drinks; all ages are welcome!

From 6:30-7:30pm, join us for a panel discussion with arts educators who will share their visions for the future about arts-based learning, in conjunction with the exhibition Breathing Futures.

About the Exhibitions

On view in the Great Hall is Ofrenda en Alfombra, a large-scale ephemeral alfombra, or carpet, installation made from locally-collected organic materials created by Alfombristas Mexicanos, a collective from the city of Humantla in Tlaxcala, Mexico. On view in the East Wing Galleries is Breathing Futures, an exhibition highlighting MOCA’s five Education programs which promote interdisciplinary learning and seek to create spaces for imagination and critical thinking; and (~) Echo (  ), a two-part installation environment by artist Rebeca Bollinger that combines sculptural objects, architectural interventions, light refractions, and audio installations in collaboration with Gus Tomizuka in the first phase and Patricio Coronado in the second phase.

Monthly Free Thursdays are presented in collaboration with KXCI Community Radio.
