In 1992 the tenants of the Shane House Artist Colony needed a new place to call home, and turned their eyes to a forgotten warehouse located on the corner of 6 th and Toole. The building was tagged for demolition, but the artists convinced the Arizona Department of Transportation to rent them the space on a month-to-month lease. Thus was born The Toole Shed; 25 years later the artists have changed, but the building remains the same. Since then a staggering amount of work has been produced from the Toole Shed including zines, music, books, art, and other important projects like the Museum of Contemporary Art, who will be hosting this momentous event. Please join us in celebrating the Toole Shed’s legacy then and now.
Enjoy an evening of art, literary readings, music performances, and more.
