Soundsuit Summer Camp (in-person)

Join MOCA in-person this summer as we explore mixed media, video, and character creation. We will focus on the work of artist Nick Cave and his Soundsuits! Over the week, campers envision alternate versions of themselves through the creation of their own Soundsuits. In addition to working with a variety of materials, youth will use green screen technology to create a collective video to be shared at a virtual camp premiere and showcase on August 6th!

MOCA Tucson will have COVID-19 safety protocols in place including mandatory masks at all times, temperature checks before campers join us each day, social distancing, and frequent hand-washing breaks. We are also limiting the number of campers per session to 12 to ensure proper social distancing. We will work outdoors on the plaza as the heat permits. We ask that campers bring their own water bottles and snacks each day.

Please note: Weeks 1 and 2 are the same content. We offer two different weeks of camp to this age group to accommodate as many youth as possible. Please choose whatever week best fits your summer schedule.

Camp is offered on a sliding scale of $125-175.  Space is limited!
