Stay Gold Zine from our Summer 2020 Digital Program: The Real Imagined
Participants from our Summer 2020 Stay Gold program, The Real Imagined, created this collaborative zine together. Please check it out and feel free to share!
This free online program provides space for intergenerational connections within the LGBTQIA+ community to be made through shared autobiographical storytelling and zine-making.
In the summer 2020 season of Stay Gold, artist and intuitive Asher Hartman encouraged intuitive making and creating, connecting each participant with deeper aspects of the self or parts of ourselves we may not be consciously connected to. A focus on making guided by intuition allowed for a space of vulnerability, honesty and discovery to open up.
Each week, via Zoom, participants walked through the process of unfolding their experiences to reveal what may lie unseen or unacknowledged. Each session was built upon the previous week, culminating in a collection of narratives, both visual and tex-based, and included in this zine.
Stay Gold was made possible through the generous support of Aroha Philanthropies.
