ArtNow! gives you the opportunity to engage with wildly disparate practices collectively known as “the art of our time” during this playful lecture series. During this lecture, MOCA Artist-in-Residence Pablo Rasgado will discuss the work he created during his 5-week residency and his interventions in urban spaces and architectural settings.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Pablo Rasgado’s practice is characterized by a constant discovery of mediums and techniques that allow the artist to develop other areas of knowledge in archeology, restoration, liguistics, and chemistry. His work questions the relationship between function and design within specific contexts: the analysis of urban change and its cultural value, and the potential of inactive spaces within cities. Rasgado has exhibited widely across the Americas and Europe in solo exhibitions and biennials, and his work is in the collections of LACMA, Collecion Jumex, CCA Wattis, and North Carolina Museum of Art to name just a few. Rasgado is currently represented by Steve
Turner Contemporary in Los Angeles, and lives and works in Mexico City.
