Embodied Alchemy is a collaborative, transdisciplinary, and process-driven workshop facilitated by artist Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez, designed for those interested in exploring environmental issues, somatic practices, and collective experience through movement and embodiment.

Developed as an extension of her installation on view at MOCA in the Frequencies exhibition, the workshop reflects on the impact of gold mining and extraction—examining the effects of extreme conditions on both humanity and the environment. Together, the group will also consider the ancient and future potentials of gold beyond its technological, medicinal, and space-travel applications.

Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez’s practice merges visual art, somatic bodywork, and family constellation principles, and this two-hour workshop will introduce embodiment exercises and somatic practices to deepen our awareness of the body and the shared creative space. Participants will engage in experiential techniques, fostering presence and connection in a process-based artistic setting.

The workshop is open to anyone interested, whether for personal exploration or potential collaboration in an upcoming performative art piece in the exhibition. No prior experience is necessary—just an openness to movement, experimentation, and artistic dialogue.

The workshop will be conducted in a no-shoes space in the gallery and participants are encouraged to wear clothing they feel comfortable in for movement and stretching.
