About
Mission Garden’s multi-generational, outdoor, hands-on educational setting encourages interactive exchange of traditional knowledge gathered from diverse community elders and historical documents. By exclusively growing heritage crops and heirloom trees, Mission Garden aspires to test, refine, and evaluate the practical wisdom of long-term arid-adapted agricultural practices. The basis of is educational template is to exchange and promote agricultural techniques that combine traditional knowledge with modern science.
raison pan is a cottage food microbakery that began in 2022 offering traditional, hand-mixed, naturally-leavened sourdough bread using only local grains in a long, wild fermentation process. The mission is to promote mindful, slow consumption via sustainable, environmentally-conscious, artisan bread.
About the Exhibition
On view in the Great Hall and East Wing Galleries is Frequencies, an exhibition featuring a group of contemporary artists who explore the dynamic possibilities of sound. These artists attend to the audible and inaudible traces of the world to create works across sculpture, architecture, video, performance, and image. Artists included are Alluvium, Vivian Caccuri, Sofía Córodva, Tatiana Echeverri Fernandez, Nikita Gale, Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork, Sara Ouhaddou, Adrian Piper, Ana Paula Santana, Naama Tsabar, and Karima Walker.
Monthly Free Thursdays are presented in collaboration with KXCI Community Radio.
