Where to Stay: Unique among downtown Tucson hotels, The Downtown Clifton Hotel offers stylish accommodations and personalized service in historic Armory Park just a few minutes walk from MOCA. The original hotel (now known as “The Bunkhouse”) was built in 1948 along Stone Avenue, formerly US route 80. In 2014, the vintage hotel was purchased from its original owners and lovingly restored as The Downtown Clifton. In 2019, the Downtown Clifton built an additional 22-rooms for a stylish Sonoran Modern expansion (“The Senorita”) that speaks to the original vintage feel of the hotel. On the grounds of the hotel you’ll find The Red Light Lounge, featuring local and regional beers, wines, classic and craft cocktails and contemporary Tucson cuisine. Visitors staying at the Downtown Clifton receive 2 for 1 admission at MOCA, as well as 10% off any purchase in the MOCA Shop.
